With RePair, we've developed a program that gives you the opportunity to have your handmade Ney and Niq pieces repaired. Sustainability is a key focus of our daily work, and in this spirit, every product, whether quilt, quill, or teddy bear, receives the care it deserves even after it's been sold.
Our goal
RePair is all about extending the life of our products when they show signs of wear or even become damaged over the years. So it's not the end of a story, but the beginning of a new chapter.
With our RePair program, we not only repair our products, but also continue to be there for our customers, even long after the sale. Restoring quilted products to their original condition as much as possible can be very time-consuming and laborious. But for us, it's always worth the effort. At RePair, we primarily strive to preserve the original condition as much as possible. This works particularly well for minor damage, such as a seam or hem.
In some cases, it's no longer possible to restore the quilt to its original state. In this case, we go a step further: Inspired by the centuries-old Japanese art of Boro Shashiko, we cover stubborn stains and erasures with artistic patchwork pieces that blend seamlessly into the overall design. These are then finished with new decorative stitches, known as quilting. This not only preserves the quality but also adds character, depth, and expression to the piece.
